Are you buying a house and want to find out what the neighbourhood is like?  Are you starting a business and want to know what the customer base will be?  Are you interested in demographic profiles by neighbourhood?  This tool from Environics Analytics classifies Canadian neighbourhoods by postal code using census data.  Go ahead and try it out.  It is worth a look!

After you have tried this, you might want to find out about neighbourhoods for which you don't know the Postal Code. Canada Post has a handy lookup tool. 

The Open Syllabus Project collected over 1 million course outlines across several continents.  The meta data is now on-line and searchable by subject matter, institution, and so on.

BC Stats has population projections to 2041 based on various criteria including age, gender and region.  

The data is downloadable as well and can be of use in projecting market size, education demand, etc.
